Mallory – Beyond Everest

My one man play about George Mallory is in rehearsal right now.  It’s hard work but we are getting there.  The play is developing really well.  We’ll have original film footage of the expeditions provided  by the British Film Institute and music composed for the play by the legendary Bob Pegg.  The play will be part of the Edinburgh fringe this year, we’ll be on throughout August at C Venues.  Come if you can.

"Mr Mallory, at what temperature does cheese freeze?"

“Mr Mallory, at what temperature does cheese freeze?”

In the play Mallory has survived Everest and looks back at his life.

"And in blue corner the British champion George Mallory"

The British media were obsessed by Mallory’s assault on the then unclimbed Everest.

"I can see the whole village from up here!"

“I can see the whole village from up here!”

As a boy of 7 Mallory climbed a church steeple.
